Parthiv led Gujarat team to victory in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16. Parthiv was the captain of Gujarat side and he scored a brilliant ton in the finals.
The Selectors were in the choice because after Dhoni’s retirement, no another perfect keeper is looking who will stay in the team for a long time. Wriddhiman Saha shows some consistency but he is injured now.
So, the choices were Dinesh Karthik, Naman Ojha and, Parthiv Patel. But Parthiv Patel’s Performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy gives him the opportunity after a long time.
